The name is Shannon Pate. The business is Oh, Snap! Photography. I've recently quit my job to become a stay-at-home mom, and also to pursue my passion for photography. It's only been a few weeks but I'm enjoying it so far.
I've been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. My first camera was, of course, THE POLAROID! I would set up "backdrops" and make everyone pose for me. I still have albums and albums of those polaroids. Good times!
Now I hardly leave home without my camera. My poor kids! But you never know when you're going to be presented with THE photo opportunity.
I am a natural light, non-traditional photog based out of the big city of Joaquin, Texas. However, I will travel anywhere in the East Texas area if you prefer.
I believe a photo session should be FUN. I want you and your family to feel comfortable and relaxed with me. Candid shots and genuine smiles, THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!! And please remember.... having your family's photos done shouldn't break the bank!

I'll start with my husband, (aka Boo). He tells me almost daily he is proud of me, he believes in me, I'm gorgeous and that he loves me. He is my shoulder to cry on, my ear to listen and my best friend. Among many things, he is an amazing dad, and works hard to provide for our family.
Coby, he's my oldest. 14, going on 30. He does great in school, without even trying. I wonder what he could do if he tried!? The funniest kid you'll ever meet. Always cracking jokes, and making light of everything, even in the worst situations. He's got common sense, book sense, the whole deal! And the biggest heart of ANY kid I know :-) He'd give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He'll always be my first love <3
Ahhhh, Aidan... where to begin?! He's this funny, wild, frenetic, frenzied ball of 5-year-old energy. His smile is infectious. His laugh is too! You just never know what's going to come out of that child's mouth! And he is ALL BOY. He picks up every lizard, frog, cricket and rock within his reach. And they usually go in his pockets!
Last, but not least, is my three year old step-daughter, Emma Grace (aka Miss Priss). I didn't carry her in my belly, but I definitely carry her in my heart!
